Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy, which explores your problems in the here and now. CBT assumes that behaviours are linked to your thoughts and feelings, which are a product of the beliefs you hold about yourself the world and others. Some behaviour may maintain your problems or even make them worse. CBT believes that if you can better understand your thoughts you can change behaviours and beat self-defeating cycles.
How can CBT help?
With commitment, CBT can help you overcome real difficulties in a relatively short period of time compared to other talking therapies. CBT also gives you more control over your recovery and life as you will learn skills that help you to better cope with stressful situations outside of and post therapy.
Kerry offers supportive, respectful, confidential and non-judgmental relationship where specific concerns can be looked at. She is trained in a number of other therapeutic modalities that she is able to draw upon and integrate into her sessions.
